About the CMS Band
The Bands
The 8th Grade band is the premier performance ensemble for
Clinton Middle School.
In
this class, students finish honing their instrumental
performance skills, as well as beginning an in-depth study of
how to play together as an ensemble.
In addition to CMS band concerts,
students in this group also perform for football games at CMS
and CHS, participate in the ETSBOA Jr. Clinic honor bands, and
perform for concert festivals around the area.
The 7th Grade band is the intermediate level band where the
students finish learning the basic techniques required to be an
independent, self-motivated musician so they can move on to the
advanced 8th grade level. Students in this ensemble are
also invited to audition for the Jr. Clinic honor bands.
The 6th Grade band
is
quite possibly the most important part of the Clinton Band
Program. In this ensemble, students will begin learning how to
play a musical instrument and lay the foundation of fundamentals
and knowledge crucial to future success in band.
