Jeremy Chapman is
a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky where he has
studied with Professor James B. Campbell. At the University of
Kentucky, Jeremy was a member of the performance school before
graduating with a music education degree. Jeremy has performed
with many ensembles at the university including: UK Percussion
Ensemble, Steel Band, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Wind
Ensemble, Opera, Marching Band, and the Indoor Competition
Drumline.
Other
performance opportunities Jeremy pursued while at the
university: extra percussionist for the Lexington Philharmonic
Orchestra, a member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, the
winner of the 2001 Percussive Arts Society International
Convention Solo Competition for Percussion and Alto Saxophone
Duo, and a featured performing artist as a member of the UK
Percussion Ensemble at the 2001 PASIC Convention. He was also a
founding member of Blue Steel professional steel drum band.
Having
worked with a variety of bands in KY, OH, GA, and MO, also
worked with Southwind and Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, Jeremy is
currently pursuing a career as a music educator while
freelancing as an arranger and marching percussion specialist.
